Read the page, not the popups
Hush mutes autoplay video, cookie walls and sticky banners on every site, so the article is the only thing left on the screen.

Why we stopped skimming
Long reads came back the year people stopped fighting their browser. It started with one small change to how a page loads, and what it’s allowed to do before you’ve read a word.
Autoplay video removed
Cookie wall answered: reject all
What’s left is the piece you came for: the words, the images that belong to them, and a scroll bar that tells the truth about how long this is.

Silence autoplay

Answer cookie walls
Hush picks reject all when a site offers it, and hides the banner when it doesn’t.
Block nag popups
Newsletter prompts and notification requests stop before they appear.
Per-site rules
Keep a site’s video and mute the rest. Rules sync across your browsers.
